As it is with binoculars, so it is with scopes. More recently binoculars have been used for astronomical viewing.
The first thing to know about a compact binocular is that it is two small telescopes mechanically linked together. Binoculars provide three dimensional images that have more depth. Most binoculars are used to view objects at very far distances and have to be focused for the viewer to see things clearly.
Size matters when one considers the mode of birding. Objects will appear brighter with wider lenses. The image is also duller when the magnification is greater then ten.
You can see so much detail in the craters, one which you can not see by plainly looking at the moon with the naked eye. You can find some secondhand models at affordable prices. Capturing as much of that as possible is good as it means all the available light is getting to where you want it.
If you are going to take up bird watching, trust me, you will love it. It’s really easier to choose when you know more about them.
